The Stone Soup Symphony was invited back by Mayor Blanco and the city of Passaic to kick off the summer, with the city's concert series.

Warm temperatures, low humidity, enthusiastic crowds and Stone Soup Symphony’s musicians teamed up with last night’s gentle breezes for Passaic’s first summer of 2012, Concert in the Park. Audience members enjoyed Classical, Pop and Patriotic tunes from the Symphony, directed by Ed Meisner. Goosebumps covered everyone during the Symphony’s final numbers – America the Beautiful, and Stars and Stripes Forever. At the end of the concert, ‘Thank yous’ abounded as children (of all ages) were welcomed on the stage for a ‘show and tell’ instrument session.
