A Glimmer of Hope?
Stone Soup Symphony has been in talks with Centenary Stage Company about participating in a summer concert series on the Centenary University campus. They are calling it the “back porch concerts” and will be outdoors.
Right now we are scheduled for July 15th, 2020 at 7pm. This is HIGHLY tentative and all depends on whether gatherings of this sort are socially acceptable at this point, and whether we manage to get in a few rehearsals before then to put together some easy pieces.
Right now, this is more of an idea than a concrete event, but we are hopeful that we MAY be able to pull this off. It’s a glimmer of hope that we might be able to put forth some arts to the community and get back some sense of normalcy.
Know that we will NOT be rushing into this or taking any unnecessary risks. This project is borne of hopefulness and we recognize that it may be ambitious. If it doesn’t work out, we will simply cancel the event, but we felt it important to try. Let’s hope for the best!
Here’s hoping you and yours are well, and I look forward to making music with you again soon.
